Earlier today, The Shade Parade has just been informed that the New York City Council passed bills that now prohibit drug testing for marijuana as part of the hiring process or for people on probation.
Another step forward towards the decriminalization if marijuana, thanks to the leadership of public advocate Jumaane Williams and fellow NYC council member Donovan Richards.
Too many times, people are targeted for just enjoying the occasional blunt. We here at the Shade Parade celebrating this milestone victory on the way to legalization. While this means you are safe from being targeted, we do NOT condone coming in to work just after taking one to the face.
